Bill, thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments! Let me apologize for some confusion that led you to think I might have lost a bit of my writer’s motivation. Just a touch of history will clarify.

I came resentfully into the 21st Century. If my business hadn’t demanded, by 2009, that I surrender, I never would have. More, reality alone would have never been enough. I also had to have my guru, my son Nico, hold my hand gently and convert me.

As a result, I now invest heavily into my online presence but still rely on Nico greatly. He manages this blog for me, transposing and improving the essays I post originally at my LinkedIn discussion group and my professional Facebook page. At the end of July, I discussed with Nico that I was going through a bit of a redesign on my writing schedule. I needed to give both the pace of my postings as well as the strategy and tactics of blogging itself some renewed thinking.

During August I continued composing my commentaries, but with a different rhythm. What I failed to do was explain my new pattern to Nico properly, and thus August went by with no postings here. If you were check over at Facebook, though, you will – if you are diligent enough! – be able to find the postings that follow this Godfather Commentary Note #56. Actually, I believe I have another 46 such commentaries already posted there.

All that covered…

Let me just add this last point, Bill. I have not yet learned the blogger’s art of building online dialog. I intend to get there, but I have a long way to go. This conversation with you is exactly the sort of interaction I hope to engage in more. Thank you again!

Pasquale,
I began following your work on Facebook and misunderstood; thought it was merely an attempt to promote Puzo's most famous work. It was just OK, perhaps brevity diminished its lessons. Then I recently began to understand who you are and what you're attempting, so I subscribed to your RSS feed.
I like it and read the entries starting on July 16. The Godfather applications to work and life are poetic, well-written, and helpful--although the fencing thing is lost on me.
Please keep on writing. You have valuable insights to contribute.
Wishing you all the very best,
Bill

You, sir, have a pretty cool name. Are there any Nico's in your family? From whence do you come?

Thanks for letting me know about the 404. That was posted quite a while ago so I didn't remember to fix it. I just replaced the link with the email address.

ACTION. I'm good with that. Focused, simple, laser-like action. "Epiphanies are for action". It is so true. I am creating my own movie. I'm a player on the grand stage with 8 billion other actors, a few thousand of which will be in my scenes. I would say that with all due respects the universe is my producer and my higher power, my co-director. We are a team. The more in touch I am with the producer, the more familiar I am with the stage, the more I'm in touch with my co-director, my very soul, the more my actions will be real and focused. My meditations, I just epiphanized, must be long and deep enough to access the co-directors feelings, to clear the slate for the next scene, to clense my mind of the garbage/obstacles to the work ahead. I feel a sense of peace just writing this. Now to my daily plan.

HI Pasquale!

Great to read about your Journaling. As know, I'm a big advocate of J for traders.. and you're comments here make me an even BIGGER advocate.

Traders often tell me about positive changes in other-than-trading parts of their lives via their trade journaling... and that stems from the fact the journaling is a tool that effective looks inside yourself... and as you have so adeptly demonstrated, journaling can literally BE YOUR PARTNER in self-improvement. I'll be keeping tabs on this 'continuing series'. Keep up the good work, my friend, and stay healthy!

Pasquale… Thanks so much for this….

I audited, my nearly 300 hires, and the common thread (90%) of the time consisted of the diagram you so eloquently speak about in your post!!!!!

Finding the match is the hard part, but WHEN YOU FIND THE MATCH (using Inbound/Outbound tactics) recruiting is EASY!!!! (Post mutual interest)

Best, Brian-

Tender care and loving concern:

1. What triggers such emotion in you?

2. Where do tender care and loving concern reside?

3. How do you find your way there; and how do you access it, willfully?

4. Does it hold a place in your professional took kit; or

5. Is such a use and such a metaphor too commercial, too crass and too self-interested a place for such a sacred emotion?

Do share your answers or thoughts in response, please!
