When I first talked with Pat, I was struck by his ability to bring out one’s inner expression of looking at things in a completely different way. Let me explain, Pat asked me to look at the “Diagram” you know, the one with the 2 circles that cross together.
Having Pat on the phone and looking at the diagram I believe Pat took me to a place in my mind that I would have never even thought about on my own. Pat asked me “so what do see when you look at the diagram Bill?

My response, “Each soul is just a soul. The introduction you make is simply of yourself to another soul. The tremendous preparations and gyrations we go through trying to be ready for one side of the equation and then for the other side are all too often driven by the fallacy of “types.” There are no “types” of people, just people.
A hiring manager today is a candidate tomorrow. A candidate today is a hiring manager tomorrow. In fact, everyone is both, TODAY!
So, in your planning and preparations, the key is to ready yourself to enter into the conversation, one soul to another, ready to serve.
Yes, you have all probably seen this on Pat’s Blog. My point is just to again repeat that Pat brought that out in me, that’s not the way I usually talk, when I look at the statement I made that day to Pat, I’m still amazed, that I said that. I realize that Pat has the unique Talent to make that happen within me, I have to say that’s pretty powerful Stuff!!!
